McDonald
& Sons was founded in 1984 by Chip
McDonald as a small, family owned golf course
construction company. The company focused
on renovation and small construction jobs
with an emphasis on quality. Over the years
McDonald & Sons has grown in size as well
as in reputation. With an ever growing staff
of experienced employees and a large fleet
of equipment, we successfully run several
large renovation, new construction and design/build
projects simultaneously.
The company is a Certified
Builder, and has been a member of the
Golf Course Builders Association of America
(GCBAA) since 1990. The only thing that
has not changed is that McDonald & Sons
is still a family owned and operated business
and we still place our emphasis on quality.
Through our involvement with the GCBAA and
other affiliated organizations, we have
established relationships with vendors and
contacts across the country. These relationships
allow us to work anywhere. Most recently
we have worked in our home state of Maryland,
as well as California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York,
North Carolina, Pennsylvania,
and Virginia.
We have key employees
that travel, and this allows us to keep
the level of quality we demand, regardless
of project location. Project size is not
a determining factor in the jobs we pursue.
McDonald & Sons aims for the highest possible
quality whether it is renovating a single
tee or a major 18 hole new construction
job. We undertake projects that emphasize
our dedication to the industry and showcase
our quality and ability.
